The X3 LightCharge is here, and X3 Light.

Hey everyone, after such a strong response to my original post and update I have been tirelessly working to bring this to as many of you as possible. I have settled on a final version moving the thumbwheel to the middle, adding a second independent switch for the charger pins, and lots of improvements to the light arm. The light is turned on with a manual switch on top, and the charger is turned on with an identical switch on the side. There is also an option to leave out the pogo pin charger entirely (maybe even just a battery pack charger option in the future). I have set up a simple website with Stripe checkout where you can go and order the files and bill of materials, a kit with printed parts, an assembled unit, or one assembled with professionally printed nylon parts.

This is a one man operation, so please have some understanding if something does not work correctly on the website or the guide has a problem, just let me know and I will get it fixed. The first order of parts is on the way and I will ship out as fast as I can in the order they are received. The assembly guide is currently a work in progress with a major update coming as soon as the first units are built and tested.

I tried to satisfy everyone I could with options, but you should know that sourcing the parts to build it yourself cost about the same as the assembled unit. This was a pure coincidence as you can't easily get each part by itself for cheap and have to order multiples. I understand if this is not for everyone, but it works for me and I am sure it will work for many of you.

Without further delay, please feel free to peruse my wares at https://lightcharge.cc and place an order if you find what I have to offer satisfying.

Update: X3 light charger v2 (improved)

Lot's of comments on my original posts. So, I thought I would adress most of them with an update post.

Laat night I added a diffuser and blocked the side light from the arms.

This thing is impossible to photograph with the lights off (photo in total darkness). It's obviously way brighter near the top and majorly diminishes closer to the bottom (almost unreadable at lowest brightness). The blowout is not as noticeable in person, but you can't tell that from the photo.

Sounds like you all (r/xteinkreader included) are highly interested in everything from files, to buying finished models, including an X4 and Playdate version. I dont have an X4 to design for nor a Playdate so they may be on hold for awhile.

Give me a few days to iron out the diffuser build and I think I can set something up that satifies everyone looking for the X3. I will also include files without the pogo pin charger for those that dont want it.

My reading light for the X3, oh and it charges it at the same time.

Custom battery, charger, and light for the X3, with power switch and somewhat adjustable brightness. Just something I cooked up, let me know what you think?

Help me find this movie and unrelated video game.

I have a recollection of a movie that ends in a scene where they zoom out and its a black room full of tables with people laying on the tables all connected. That's really all I have.

Also I have a game, maybe xbox arcade, maybe indie game. Black and white puzzle solver (similar feel to Monument Valley but feel it predates that game), lasers, wind turbines, portals around the room, possible includes color levels with a leaf you float around on. It was an isometric view. Again not kuch to go off of.
