Cloth only for sleep wash routine

I'm starting toilet training tomorrow, so my son will only be in diapers for nap and overnight. Currently, I do a prewash every day and my main wash every 3-4 days, but I'm definitely not going to have enough for a full main wash that frequently anymore. I also don't want to run a prewash everyday for just two diapers.

For those doing part time cloth, what does your wash routine look like?

Getting 3.5 year old to wipe own butt

My 3.5 year old does NOT want to learn to wipe his own butt. I'm confident he is 100% capable. Any suggestions on how to motivate him to start learning? I really don't want it to turn into a battle.

Getting rid of diaper rash

I only started cloth back in November with my now 2 year old. He has super sensitive skin so we still use disposables at night but I plan on switching to cloth overnight once I run out of disposables I already own. We also plan on toilet training before the end of the summer.

He's gotten a diaper rash a few times since November where the only way to get it to go away seems to be to switch him back to disposables for a 1-3 days. The difficult diaper rashes are usually a result of not noticing a poop soon enough (the current one is from a poop happening during his nap). I usually give it a day or two of extra frequent diapers changed in cloth before I cave.

My cloth stash are Cloth-Eez prefolds and workhorses. I use keep dry liners for every diaper with Essembly everyday diaper balm or Honest everyday diaper rash cream. I also use cotton wipes.

Does anyone have advice on how to fight diaper rash while staying in cloth?
