People who have screen protectors, is it worth it?

Today I put my Kompakt in my back pocket and sat down. When I took it out, there was a big crack on the top of the screen : (

I've never had this happen to me in my previous smart phones but I assume that the material making the E-paper screen is likely different from OLED screens. Maybe more fragile?

I'm debating if I want to buy a screen protector to avoid further damage. If you have a screen protector on yours, do you recommend it? Do you think it really helped?

Kompakt stopped charging..

Hi! I really really love my kompakt but lately have been experiencing some issues with charging. Over the past few weeks no matter which chargers I use (wattage, cable, etc) it charges extremely slowly. Today, it has stopped charging at all. Has anyone experienced this issue before and know what might be causing it? Has anyone taken it to a local phone repair store to get fixed before? I am lucky to have my smart phone to use in the meantime but I would really love to get back to my kompakt. I love using it.

Edit: I tried to charge wirelessly but it only worked for a little bit but then stopped working. I am using Anker's wireless charger. It will turn on the phone for a second a turn it off. I read on the forum that others have experienced issues with the qi chargers too —what is a reliable wireless charger that has worked?
