Florida Universities and Colleges

Hi! Does anyone know which universities or colleges accept Penn Foster diplomas? I’m interested in enrolling with Penn Foster, but I want to make sure I’ll be able to continue on to a college or university in Florida afterward. I’m wondering about Broward College or any universities in FL. Thank you!

James Madison Online High school vs. Penn Foster

Hi! I’ve seen people say that JMHS is better for applying to universities and that it has a more rigorous curriculum. I’ve just struggled to find a lot of information about JMHS from actual students. I’ve seen way more experiences from Penn Foster discussed, so I wanted to ask about JMHS specifically.

I’d really like to know more about what the coursework at JMHS is like. I know Penn Foster has three essays in total, unless you take electives that require additional essays. I was wondering how similar JMHS is to Penn Foster in terms of written work and regular work. Does JMHS have a lot of writing assignments, how long does the whole program usually take, how is it similar to and different from Penn Foster, and which one would you recommend?

Also, I’m a rising junior and I’m hoping to finish this year. I know Penn Foster doesn’t accept homeschool credits, which is fine with me. I’m not really sure whether I should transfer my homeschool credits or if having a lot of homeschool credits would look bad to colleges.

I currently have 5 traditional high school credits and 14 homeschool credits. I’m pretty sure JMHS accepts homeschool credits, so if that’s the case I’d probably be able to finish much faster.

If you recommend transferring my homeschool credits, could you explain how the transfer process works and how long you think it would take me to finish? I’d also appreciate an estimate of how long it would take with just my traditional credits versus transferring both my traditional and homeschool credits.

Thank you for your help! :))

Penn Foster High School - college prerequisites

Hi! If you complete a course like Algebra 2 through Penn Foster, would you still have to take it again in college as a prerequisite? Or, since you completed it through Penn Foster, can you move on to the next course? Sorry if this doesn't make sense! I don't really understand how any of this works. :-)

College after Penn Foster

Hi! I live in Florida and wanted some advice. I currently am in online school but I'd like to go through Penn Foster to get ahead and graduate before my year and start going to college. I'm just not sure if colleges accept it. Does anyone know if any Universities accept Penn Foster or at least the community colleges in Florida and which ones? If not I'll probably go back to public school and do it that way. Thank you :-)
