Talk me into/out of a CRF 450rl for FS roads, single track and overnight camping in the southeast

Test rode a 450 today. It had the vortex ECU and yoshi exhaust and larger than stock rear sprocket. Last bike I had was a CRF300l rally that I always felt like needed more power and better suspension. Before that I had a ktm 640 adventure. I was comfortable on that, but it was a little heavy. Several other bikes over the years. I haven't ridden in a few months and the 450 felt a little intimidating. Mostly taking off from a stop. Once I was moving I felt fine. I only rode it on pavement and just for a few minutes. I'm imagining it on trails though, where I'm more likely to want to tractor up hills than to be balls to the wall hauling ass all the time. Is this too much bike for me or something I'll get used to? Are the vortex ecu's programmable in any way that would tame 1st gear a little more? Maybe this is all due to not riding in a while and jumping on a new bike. I was ready to buy, but now I'm second guessing myself.

Can I just show up at the Patton Ave IRS office and talk to someone? Was told I didn't file my tax return (I mailed it on March 14th) and fined $1,000. Now I cannot reach anyone at the IRS to contest. Keeps telling me call volume is too high, call back another day.

Airborne soundproofing underlayment?

Most products seem to address footstep noise from being transmitted to lower floors, but my problem is conversation noise coming up from the lower floor. Currently have carpet. Planning to replace with LVP. My understanding is that soundproofing for impact noise vs airborne noise require different approaches. Anybody have any suggestions? Will LVP alone be an improvement over the carpet? Thanks in advance

My daughter had one of hers tear almost 4 years ago and it still looks questionable as to whether or not it would be safe to re-peirce it. Her regular doctor didn't have much advice to give. I talked to a local piercing shop, but would like another opinion.
