Pullups Form Check

Pullups Form Check

Apologies if this has been asked numerous times on this sub. Somehow I've gotten into my head that my form is subpar because I've been stuck on the same number of pull ups/chin ups (5/6) for months now. I'm roughly 70kgs and around 170cm.

I've tried GTG or the Russian progression, but whenever I do that consistently, my right elbow/forearm starts to hurt. I also alternate between doing them on the rings or bar, but find that pull ups on the bar can feel more awkward. I also feel almost no activation in my lats most of the time.

Would appreciate any tips people have about my form or suggestions for what I should change up! Thanks!

Oil-like non-paint alternatives?

I'm a long time oil painter, but have recently found myself a little bit bored/worn out with the medium. I'm wondering if there are some underrated, more obscure alternatives out there, such as pastels/neopastels? Does anyone have any experience with these?

I'd want to keep the vivid colors and depth of oils, as well as the ability to draw sharp lines and have fine detail.

I'm finding myself drawn to pastels/pencils, things that don't require a surface or a set up for solvents and can be done almost anywhere. Open to suggestions and happy for higher end options too! Thank you!

Carabiner rings set-up question

I realise this might be a silly question and I just need to get the adjustable straps but figured I might ask just in case..

I recently got some gymnastic rings with straps that use adjustable pockets and carabiners to clip in. Absolutely loving them and quickly getting addicted to them.

I have no issue setting them up for most exercises, but this morning I got stuck on getting them high enough for pull-ups. I'd like to clip them high enough so that I have to jump up to reach my rings, but at the same time it feels like a catch-22 situation where I can't reach that high to clip them in and set them up?

I know an easy answer would be to get something to stand on, or just get a different strap that has the adjustable clip-in mechanism, but I was wondering if I am missing some pulley-like/anchor method that can be used with the carabiners. Possibly using something to the side to anchor them?

Appreciate any tips!
