Obligatory guess my socionics post since i saw at least 3 people do it
if you know me, no you don't

if you know me, no you don't
Title basically.
It's something i have been thinking about lately. Do you think there are cases where people genuinely do not fit any of the subtypes described by Naranjo even when they are severely unhealthy?
Title basically.
I am curious.
My first instinct would be to say somrthing like Si base e9 FXXV but i am curious as to what everyone thinks
Basically... i would not describe myself as an emotional personal or one heavily driven by my emotions or personal feelings but i try to act more emotional and may even come accross as too dramatic but it's rarely if ever based on my real feelings and moreso trying to put on a mask of an emotional person as i am never really sure about my real emotions so i just act out a persona i made up to not feel weird about not being able to fit in due to my first instinct to be more serious which is something that happened to me when i was younger so i learned to mimic other people's emotions and copy their expressions but really i very rarely display my real emotions and they moreso come in the form of outbursts and i go back and forth between being interested in people and wanting to be left alone as masking all the time is mentally draining and i sometimws question why i do it as being this way feels more like something imposed to me by other people as like previously mentioned i used to be heavily criticized as a child for never laughing at jokes or crying during movies so i nowadays overcompensate and laugh extremely loud and fake cry a lot at things i think are suppossed to be sad based on the context and i constantly worry about how these expressions may come accross to people and wonder if i am doing it wrong.
I will start by clarifying this is me ranting about the Si function in MBTI and how it's seen and defined by people. Not a hate post targeted towards people who use Si in their function stack in that system.
How the hell did Si in MBTI end up being the function of "perfect memory" and "rules and traditions" when it is literally an irrational sensing function. Your memory is not a fucking cognitive function and rules, traditions and such would be more something like Te or Ti 😭. It is one of the things that have always bothered me about the system along with the obvious J/P switch (like why in the world are INTPs seen as messy and unstructured when they literally lead with a rational function????)
Ugh, i just get really irritated thinking about it. What do the things associated with the function in MBTI even have to do with sensing? Si in Jungian and Socionics makes much more sense, it is about actual sensing. Like i understand the association of Si with routines cause they can be seen as a source of comfort for the person but when i hear people talk about MBTI Si it just seems like they took that concept and went too far with it 😭
Your favorite ILE was a mistyped LIE and still so7, not a mistyped EIE so2.
1-How would you differentiate the two?
2- can EIE be so7 and if so can they be low emotion in PY?
3- Can an EIE so2 be only 50% extroversion in Big Five?
4- how common is it for EIE to mistype as ILE?
5- are there any types you woukd suggest for someone who is 100% sure they have valued Fe and Ti and are 1V in PY?
I usually see people bring up enneagram for correlations with PY but i have noticed some patterns like...
Ti base = 1L
Ne base = 2L
Fe PoLR = 3E
Si base = 1F
Se base = aggressive volition
I also always see for example LIE be only FLVE and VLFE and recently saw an old comment on PDB say ILE and SLE will always lean more towards VLEF and VFEL as their archetypes respectively.
So... is there any real direct correlation between socionics and PY or not? Cause this makes it feel like there very blatantly is one if all the enneagram types we correlate these socionics types to tend to have these common placements but i have seen comments in this subreddit say all these correlations are cause of enneagram but it doesn't seem to be the case when you look at it holistically.
I was starting go get worried lmao
The title basically.

Bonus points if it's obviously contradictory combinations and/or you ended up being a completely different type in multiple systems.

Me personally i went through an "edgy" INTJ e4 phase 💀

I mean stuff like "so4s vent 24/7" or all the 16p stereotypes
Many months ago on my old account i saw here someone get confused about PY placements for e2 assuming that cause of their pride they must be 1V cause of a typical association people make of "1V = confident" while people who have been here for a long time know that the only e2 subtype people correlate with 1V is so2.
This seems to come from a common explanation people here, including myself, have made in the past that types like e4 and e5 can't be 1V cause they are not confident people.
Recently i have tried to emphasize when people ask about PY correlations with e8 that sp8 and sx8 can be and usually manifest as 3V (FLVE for sp8 and XXVL for sx8) despite the previous correlations being of e8 as VFXX only and i realized that maybe explaining things like 1V vs 3V as confident vs insecure is not a very helpful analogy.
We all have a third placement so treating 1V as a superpower that removes any flaws or weaknesses in a person is not really being truthful (ex: a 1V with 3E will struggle with emotional interactions and impacting others in this realm) and i feel like people forget that volition specifically refers to things like will and hieararchy. A 3V is not someone who hates themselves over everything but someone who is highly concious and diubtful about things like will and hieararchy, 1V is not a superpower that makes someone completely confident and free of insecurities but someone who naturally imposes their own will and hieararchy on their enviroment.
TL;DR when describing volition in PY we should use words like "willful" or "assertive" rather than words like "confidence"
Like do you consider something like Ne-Te-Fi-Si ENTP or ENFP?
Is Ni-Ti-Fe-Se INTJ or INFJ?
Is MBTI just dumb?
I still think these discs could be a bit better 😭
