I know it’s a long shot but has anyone ever seen a window screen (or mesh/screen-like solution) for a window like this? Willing to buy or build.
Been in a converted factory loft for over a decade with a few of these windows, and they are great other than all the bugs they let in…I’ve looked for years, hoping something pops up or someone invents something, but here we are.
I have a lot of questions for the experts but primarily wondering if this tree is in trouble if this treehouse stays.
My dad built this treehouse with a friend about 15 years ago. (He’s 86 now, still very proud of it, and it brings him good memories of the experience and years when the grandkids couldn’t get enough of it.)
They are all grown and the structure is in disrepair but he won’t take it down and says the tree will be fine. Lighting and cables are getting absorbed into the tree, as well as the central planks holding it up. To his credit, the tree looks fine to me but I’d appreciate a professional opinion.
It’s in Ohio, not sure exactly what type of tree it is but he says it’s his favorite on the property.
*There is also a “hole” / recession at the bottom that he says had something to do with when he had a grill under the tree for some time…said he almost killed the tree then but I’m not sure what he meant.
