If tank parameters, appetite, and activity are all normal/haven’t changed, why would an ebjd juvenile lose its dark blue/black markings? Google is saying it’s possible the white sand is washing him out? He’s in a grow out tank, which I don’t intend on switching the white sand out with black until he’s moved up. I’m aware that they’re sensitive and have a habit of randomly dying. I’m just curious if it’s something I can fix or if it’s just his color… he’s a bold, nippy, curious little thing. Tank is set at 79F. Water change/poop scoop weekly. Nitrates are never more than 10.
