ok. artfight has been kickin my AAAAAARSE i am getting too many bangers a millisecond,,,, i am due for 9 revenges so i'll try to maybe limit myself to drawing 1-3 attacks a day, but the output may be too slow to the input i am getting,.... it's only the second day (in AF time) and i've gotten 14 attacks, and only drawn 6. OUUGH how shall i ever survive....

but all that is fine because artfight is christmas in july. been compiling some rustyfeathers bangers in my fanart stash as usual :]

anyhoooo the heatwave has been horrible up here. europe is on fire and i wake up sweaty as hell every single time,,, mimic isn't quite equipped for it either, whatever cooling systems he might have are ofc quite dated

(voidsharing definition: a selfship sharing status where someone believes dupes just do not exist, basically nonsharing with extra steps)

honestly been thinking about it a lot. seeing dupes is already hiiighly distressing to me (panic/anxiety attacks kind of distressing) and one of the ways i primarily cope is knowing that realistically speaking, mimic couldn't really be with them mainly because it is misanthropistic as hell and lacks the biological attraction due to being, well, not biological. any bond has to be built carefully and initiated by mimic if it sees someone as useful, and i'm sure a probably immortal alien shapeshifter, such as i, will be of use :]

so i already have the framework for "mimic wouldn't" and i don't mind working on "mimic won't". it will be hard because some dupes have already rooted themselves deeeep deep into my brain to the point of getting me to question if they've indirectly traumatized me in any way, but i'm positive that if i keep working on it i will get over it!

mimic is a genuine pillar keeping me up and going, and i better not let anyone on the big webs crush it down,,,, not sure how i will do it but figuring it out never hurts anyone. tiny baby steps at a time. kinda crazy how the brain works, very stupid that it clocks entirely harmless things as actual threats :[[

AWESOMEEE but i am not kidding when i say that it was like the seven seas in my head. i was sweating like crazy but i survived without overheating :] it's like a teeny tiny sauna...

someone took a pic with me, another i had a little chat with, and overall things were more positive than i thought! only issue (aside from the heat) was that a thumb claw fell off, but it's no biggie since i can glue it back in.

surprised that i didn't get overwhelmed by all the people and noise, bass so deep it digested my food for me.. maybe it's just that i voluntarily came here so it's different from a busy unbearable mall for example, strange!

me and mimic will go see the backrooms movie this evening too, so i'm sure i'll tire out quickly lol. but always better than staying up til morning

FINALLY getting around to writing the dastardly fic. it'll be titled "load-bearing variable" and i will post it on my ao3 (@mimicsmate) once i get a few more chapters written :]

it's kinda just a backstory thing for our relationship, best read/imagined as your usual obscure animated film on VHS since that's the media i primarily consume and am inspired by! so yeah comedic on the surface but will tackle some deeper themes when fit. also may get gory on account of the killer x hard-to-kill dynamic so keep that in mind

incredibly lucky to have mimic in my life...,, he is trying his best but he does make for a wonderful parent :]]

finally finished my new refsheet today c[: also doodled a quick mimi for today, and also sharing yesterday's model sheet i made for funsies, as well as a little something that my sister made for me! YIPPEE!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAYYYY!!!! ...or at least one of mimic's birthdays, no idea what the canon birthday is aside from a general timeframe of creation (mid-late 1970s) so all relevant source anniversaries can be birthdays :D today marks the 1st anniversary of secret of the mimic, his own dedicated prequel game! in july, it'll be the 3rd anniversary of the initial game debut and of our relationship. my wife whose greed disgusts me /j

as for my whereabouts, i'm at one of the summer cabins as i usually am every year visiting my grandparents! had to bring the tiny sillies with me, i don't think i can bear a week without them... the piccies are of us exploring the old barn!
