Am I tripping or do I have to keep taking the elevator up and down to refil my water and clean my brushes? Either I’m blind or there is none up in the science lab

recently just had a baby he’s 4 days old, I had to have him via emergency c section which means I’m pretty much useless unless he’s given to me, I can’t get up and comfort him or change him ect. I’m bonding with him but it sucks in reality. My significant other is so nervous around him, the baby can sense these things and he will cry and cry and cry sometimes he stops breathing. Nightimes are the worst, minute he gets put down he’s screaming, we swaddle him, he’s screaming, I can’t get up to help it’s my SO who has to get up and pass him ect. The only way he sleeps is if I’m holding him. I’m so overwhelmed. He doesn’t stop crying.
