Hey, so I’m really new to bike building and I’m trying to find a good base for a mtb conversion “rat bike”, I found this bike on FB marketplace and was wondering if this is worth 60€ or should I try to nagotiate a lower price? I don’t know if any of the parts are any good, so I thought I should ask this sub. I tried to do some research on this Raleigh Kandara but found no information.
Hey, so im new here and new to bike conversions and i’m interested in converting this scott vantage into a commuter build. I don’t know a lot about how to dismantle and put together a bike so im looking for suggestions for resources and what to change on the bike itself. First things first I definitely need to change the handlebars and the stem for it to feel like a commuter and i want a front rack and a back rack, but that probably means i should change the fork of the bike. The pedals also need to be changed as of right now they are clip-ins. Also what are the advantages of converting to a single speed chainring and leaving the back cassette multiple speed, as I don’t find myself changing front speed’s much on my other bike (I don’t know the right terminology as English is not my first language).
