I just broke the rear wheel on my Epic Evo - Roval Control Carbon from 2021, the 25mm version. I want to replace it with something light, but also more durable. It’s down to the new NOBL Core XC wheel or Reserve XC 30 Carbon. Help me decide which is a better option. I am not known to crack wheels, but have chosen these two for having great warranties. Hi all! I have been a happy owner of an Urban Arrow family since 2020. Both of my kids have been in the bucket since they were infants and now they are 6 and 4 years old and both weigh 65 pounds. I have been the only one to ride with them and my wife now wants to be able to take them to school, sports, etc. She feels the Urban Arrow is too heavy when loaded with both kids and having a lighter weight long tail would be better.
I am hoping for some insight into which models we should look at most as it really gets confusing on specs and features. We have ridden a Tern Quick Haul long, Globe Haul LT, and an Aventon Lt. What we were not told during test rides is the rear racks on most of these max out with weights that my kids are almost more than now. So that really leaves the Tern quick haul with 178 pounds, Tern GSD at 225 (though it’s so expensive) and eliminates the Aventon at 145 pounds. The Globe is nearly eliminated because the bike is so heavy in itself.
Are there other bikes we should consider that handle well with two kids? I’m open to anything. We live in Colorado. Thanks for all ideas.
