Tinfoil hat: Nestle is responsible for the rise in gluten intolerance.
Through an unrelated hospital stay a couple of years ago I found out I have a mild gluten allergy. Definitely not full on celiac but mostly skin related issues.
This led me to realize the dandruff I had had since highschool was actually a gluten allergy. Still crazy to me that it goes away after a few weeks break from any gluten
Around highschool I started eating hot pockets regularly after school, this is also around when the dandruff started but with puberty, who knows what's what.
Well now my adopted daughter is 22 and, until recently, regularly ate hot pockets. Meanwhile her health has become terrible, with low energy, and a multitude of other minor health issues all simultaneously occurring, we of course start looking at diet as a cause. And sure enough we see improvement as we test gluten free.
It's also dawned on me that Nestle somewhat recently stopped shipping hot pockets with the little metal sleeve. Their reported reasoning was their sustainability initiatives COUGHBULLSHITCOUGH.
So my conspiracy theory is that Nestle is partly responsible for the rise in gluten sensitivity, perhaps related to their metal hot pocket sleeves. They know this, which is why they reformulated their dough, despite this being an otherwise completely irresponsible use of R&D funds. Don't fix what isn't broken and all that.
For the record, I am not at all suicidal. I do not plan on getting in any airplanes climbing any tall buildings. I am very happy with my life etc.
Also for the record, fuck Nestle.
