Why does no one eat their salads with dressing

Every time I watch the lunch with Harry, Ken and Pete in what I’m pretty sure is season 4, I always do a double take. Because Harry tells Ken to order him a Caesar salad with no dressing. But that’s essentially just romaine lettuce and cheese. What the fuck? And then at the awards show pre merger where they find out MLK dies, none of the salads on the table have dressing. Did everyone in the 60s just fucking hate good food?

Roger’s season 5 pocket change

So early in season 5 Roger bribes Harry with a little over $1000 to swap offices with Pete. And Harry remarks about how he just has that much cash in his pocket. And yeah to be fair my eyes would pop if I came across someone with ten grand in cash in their pocket today. Then later when he gets Peggy to stay late to work on Mohawk he gives her something like $400-$500. And he comments that he needs to carry less cash. Finally when he gets Ginsburg to stay and do work for him I think he gives him roughly half what Peggy got. I feel like this was Roger actually following through on keeping less cash on hand. Not sure if the mugging had an impact on this or not. But Roger essentially got his pockets ran four times this season

Hyperion Cantos paperback

I’ve been wanting to get into Hyperion for a while and noticed that later this month there are paperback editions releasing. Because before now there was only mass market paperback. But does anyone know if this includes the first book? Because the only option on Amazon is the paperback cover that doesn’t match the other three

The Color of Magic is amazing

I decided to get into Discworld and am gonna go in publication order. I already know that’s not what people recommend but that’s how I want to do it. And I’ve always heard that Color of Magic is near the bottom of the bucket in terms of quality. But I loved it. Maybe it’s because I’ve never really read fantasy like this before. But who cares? It’s so clear that Pratchett created a world where he can do whatever the fuck he wants. And the way he uses the medium to enhance his humor is something I’ve never seen elsewhere. And he also doesn’t take it too seriously. Yet the characters are still deep. If this is one of the worst then I’m excited to continue

At the end of the episode as the elevator door closes, a smile starts on Don’s face. Right after he told Roger he told him to come in that day. But that never happened in the conversation we saw. Unless I’m really stupid and missed it. Did Don purposefully get Roger drunk so he would forget the meeting and then Don could lie about what he said? It would also go hand in hand with present Don getting so drunk he forgot everything about the weekend
