Hails and greetings dwellers and degenerates. Today, Secunda and Void Mage release (AKA Graveworm) The Fall of The Blestermat Keep. Over 40 minutes of warped, baroque, medieval horror synth. It tells a dismal tale of a prominent vampire losing its power as the reign of an older, eviler power takes hold of a cursed Romanian duchy.

Void Mage’s killer graphic design chops are on full display with this gorgeous j-card, and for the first time ever, Secunda stamps make an appearance.

Secunda here, with my offering for the May Battle Synth Shamble. Wat Tyler's Blood is another side project that primarily uses sampled sounds from the Teenage Engineering Medieval and Erang's Bard/Troubadour packs.

I released a shorter EP earlier this month, 1381 and discovered I really liked making tracks in this way.

The concept of both releases is a historical exploration of the Peasant's Revolt of 1381 in England. This was a battle for dignity against the state that nearly succeeded. A commoner, Wat Tyler organized a mass movement to storm and capture the Tower of England. After years of plague, endless war with France, and aggressive squeezing of peasants, a turning point was all but inevitable. The historical parallels to the present can feel striking at times.
