I represent a private school in the Central Midwest, and we were attempting to get a quote from AT&T for a dedicated internet line.

I spoke with a sales rep, had a meeting with an applications engineer to discuss technical specifics, and they said they'd get me a quote.

Now, almost 2 months later, I'm being told that AT&T is not allowed to give us a quote for internet service because the school doesn't receive federal funding (E-Rate).

Does this sound normal? Who do I need to talk to to get better information?

Our company is working on hiring our first full-time salesperson and I'm struggling to identify industry-standard quota and OTE benchmarks.

For those of you in the install world, how are you guys heat shrinking your labels on cables that are preterminated?

When we make our own cables, we slide the heat shrink tubing on before terminating.... But when it comes preterminated, sliding heat shrink tube on isn't always an option depending on the connector.
