Saalt disc - easy to insert, distressing to remove -> menstrual cup?

I was so looking forward to moving from pads to a disc. My god that was distressing to remove and incredibly painful, like scraping the vaginal walls all the way down. Is that normal? Yes I got there after the 3rd attempt bearing down in the shower and having to catch the edge of the rim but OMFG. What are my other options now? I wanted a disc for hygiene and it could be worn during sex. But now I'm wondering, is a moon cup the way forward for me?

A way to understand what AI actually does for writers?

I would love to see a contest or experiment of this: give everyone participating the same 2 page plot summary (from beginning to end) and have them write a novel using as much AI assistance or generation as they like. Give them 1-3 months to complete? Have everyone disclose their writing level or experience with the submission.

What do you think the results would be?

I imagine people who were writing before AI and had developed strong editing and craft experience would take longer and their output would be quite distinct from other experienced writers. I imagine there would be less depth and variation among the people who were less experienced.

what are YOU looking for that doesn't exist?

I know this sub is about recommending books, but as a writer and prolific reader who finds very VERY few sapphic books that really move me, I'm curious what your 'holy grail' story would be? I feel there must be this huge array of interests/asks that are woefully underserved by the existing offerings, which increasingly confuse spicy for lots of sex on page, lack narrative tension and just feel kind of generic. For example, mine is two highly competent/mature (ideally 30+), non-caucasian women, contemporary setting, excruciatingly slow burn and tense, literary tier writing. Probably not HEA. I find elements of these things across different books but never in a single story (and really, who wants a single story, we all want multiple versions of the flavour we're looking for).

komoot - is there a way to force a quiet option?

had some issues with Citymapper so went back to Komoot...which forced me onto busier streets than I like (and near places where I knew there was a quieter cycle pathway). Is there any way to set a 'quiet' option on Komoot?

hydroquinone as spot treatment and how to get it?

I already use soolantra for rosacea (with great success) and azelaic acid on off nights. I have very annoying age spot under my eye and have been told laser is not a good idea for me as there is a high risk of more pigmentation with olive skin. what is your experience using hydroquinone as a spot treatment? it seems to be mixed with other actives in monthly subscription options, and I'm wondering if there is a problem with using it as a spot treatment vs something you spread over the entire face?
