Kawhi’s projections

Just wondering with Kawhi and where people would have them on their boards, he did have a career year but he’s also 35 and has that looming scandal against him, is he going to play games or would he get suspended? Do y’all just assume the trade goes through and he’s a raptor?

Just finished the show!

What a season! Easily by far the best one!

The show had one of the most interesting TV hooks and I was drawn to it right away as most people did, a plane coming back 5 years later like nothing happens will get people watching.

However its biggest weakness was spending too much time on episodic callings, occasionally rushing important relationships (like Zeke & Michaela got together way too fast with no substance) while also cutting away from scenes just as they became compelling. Season 2 was terrible and I seriously was considering to stop watching the show entirely. Bad acting, bad pacing and too many filler episodes.

Season 3 especially the arc with Tarik was good and a turning point to the show imo, it felt least like a “calling of the week” show and most like a serialized mystery. The middle stretch was okay but they really got my attention when Grace dies and that alone changes everything for Season 4. Didn’t understand how TJ leaves and all of a sudden Olive is with Levi and then back with TJ with no explanation; weren’t they still in a relationship?

Season 4 corrected many of those pacing issues, blended its science, faith and mythology more cohesively unlike the previous seasons and delivered a satisfying finale that shows redemption and second chances. The time gap with Eden didn’t seem real, she went from a baby to being like 4 in a span of 8 months? But that’s not super important. The last episode was really good! So many interesting dilemmas. I still would have liked a stronger explanation of Flight 828 more so over figuring out the death date and a few more quiet character moments, but the ending paid off the emotional journey. It’s funny seeing Michaela doesn’t choose Jared knowing what she knows, but Sanvii still chooses Alex. When that plane door opens, I didn’t know if the passengers survived or died which is exactly what you want. Not a lot of shows have their finale as the best episode, but the finale of Manifest to me was the best episode of the entire series.

Would I recommend someone to watch the show, probably not the first recommendation but if you are like me at the end of season 2 and debating on watching it or not, you should continue!

How to achieve 82-0

Basically I took screenshots of all my lineups and put them into ChatGPT.

It seems like rebounds and points are key, hence getting Wilt is like a cheat code.

To my recollection, Dominik Mysterio vs Oba Femi is only the 3rd Under 30 Main Event ever

Dominik Mysterio vs. Oba Femi on Raw may have been only the 3rd WWE main-roster main event ever (Raw, SmackDown, SNME, PPV/PLE) where both participants were under 30 years old (NXT doesn’t count)

The other two I could find:

  1. Survivor Series 1994: Undertaker (29) vs. Yokozuna (28)
  2. Raw Aug. 28, 2017: Sasha Banks (25) vs. Alexa Bliss (26)

Am I missing any, or is Dominik Mysterio vs. Oba Femi really only the third one?

Edit, found nine more damn:

  1. Rebellion 2002: Brock Lesnar (25) vs Edge (28)
  2. Raw Dec. 6, 2004: Lita (29) vs Trish Stratus (28)
  3. Raw Nov. 14, 2005: John Cena (28) vs Randy Orton (25)
  4. Raw Feb. 19, 2007: John Cena (29) vs Randy Orton (26)
  5. Raw Aug. 18, 2014: Dean Ambrose (28) vs Seth Rollins (28)
  6. Hell in a Cell 2014: Dean Ambrose (28) vs Seth Rollins (28)
  7. Raw Dec. 22, 2014: Dean Ambrose vs Bray Wyatt (27)
  8. Raw Mar. 2, 2015: Roman Reigns (29) vs Seth Rollins (28)
  9. Elimination Chamber 2015: Dean Ambrose (29) vs Seth Rollins (29)
  10. Money in the Bank 2015: Dean Ambrose (29) vs Seth Rollins (29)

What’s interesting is that they definitely relied on the Shield in the mid 2010s for major storylines despite their age.

There is a gap from 2007 to 2014
And the fact that after 2017, there wasn’t any till 2026

But I do think with the likes of Rhea, Oba, Dom, Bron, Austin, Roxanne, etc. I do think we will get a flux of younger main event talent again before it goes away. Seems to be the trend.

What started off as a simple stat turned into something greater and noticing the trends on when younger talent main event shows.
