I recently repotted my mom’s giant aloe vera and I have a bunch of separate plant units from it. A good portion of them look like the first picture. I’ve been removing all dead and dried leaves from each stalk, but should I cut off the yellowed/brown root portion as well? The soil didn’t have enough drainage, but this will be remedied with replanting. The mother plant is kept outside, watered soaked through 1x/month in winter, up to 2x/month in summer, full daytime sunlight, partial sunlight during sunset in AZ.
