Hey everyone! I’m new to the BMW family, it’s been almost a month with my X3 and I’m absolutely loving it so far! I’ve already put around 1,000 miles on it in my first month.
One thing I’ve noticed is that when I’m driving in the city, all times after driving just 1 mile, the estimated gas range drops by 2–3 miles. This happens even when I’m driving carefully and staying under 30 mph.
Is this normal/expected with the X3? I understand the range is just an estimate based on driving conditions and recent fuel economy, but I wanted to see if other X3 owners notice the same thing.

I’ve been filling up mostly at Costco with their premium gas. Just wanted to check with other X3 owners: is Costco gas perfectly safe to use long-term?
Would love to hear what gas you guys normally use and if you’ve had any experience with Costco gas. Thanks!
