Coming here in order to avoid ChP....it's really helpful but ....on the other hand, reddit won't let me in unless I disable my VPN. Anyway, I have rabbit ears and am happy with those; my television is new and I watch DVDs. But I want to be able to tape TV programs on occasion, and apparently Tablo (gen 4?) is a good tool for it. Right now I have coax for DVD player; the antenna and player are connected to a splitter to I can go back and forth. I believe I would connected the Tablo to the DVD player rather than to the TV, but do I need HDMI or can I use the coax? And do I still need the splitter? Thanks for input (both kinds! ;-)

Got notice from IRS that I hadn't provided bank info for refund deposit; was puzzled because I was not DUE a refund. Then got letter saying the AGI on my return was wrong so I was in fact due a refund, and I needed to send bank info. Because I've never been able to get back into my ID.Me account (no matter what I tried) I didn't/couldn't send anything. I assumed (and still do) that eventually the IRS would mail the refund check. But I have no way to confirm that will happen or if so, when. None of the websites has a section for this specific situation, at least not that I can find. I figured maybe 2-3 months lag time (after the error notice from them)? I am going to make my estimated payment as if the refund is not in play, but it would be nice to verify that the check is coming. EVENTUALLY.
