Hello again everyone!

It has been about a week and a half, Grr is still not back to us. But we have had 3 sightings on PIERCE between HOYNE and LEAVITT. Each time he has been seen around 7:30am/pm, and each time he runs down the houses to the west (towards Leavitt). We now have a feeding area and cat trap set up in a friendly neighbor’s yard who has been helping us.

If you leave anywhere around Pierce & Hoyne, PLEASEEE, keep an eye out! And if you see him, please try to either grab him (he’s pretty chill with being handled) or if you think that will spook him too much try taking a picture for us. If you can do neither that’s totally okay, but please reach out and let us know you saw him.

There is another black stray that lives around that block but she is small and shorthair. Looks very very different from Grr.

Hi — a huge thank you to everyone. My sister and I have been touched by the support from the neighborhood.

Grr is still missing. We had two sightings yesterday, and my sister and I rushed to both locations. We found the cat both times, but it was not Grr. They were too small and tail not fluffy enough, plus they didn’t come to us calling. One was down on the 2000s block of Iowa, and one was on Hirsch and Artesian. Locals on the street assured us both cats had been hanging out in the area for a while.

We have ordered more posters. His litter box, bed, stroller, blanket and some food are all outside. I called some of the local vet offices to give them a heads up.

He is BIG and very fluffy. He has never gotten out before. I have been walking for hours and haven’t seen him. Got out around 2:30am on Potomac and Hoyne. If I knock on your door asking please be nice. Trying not to panic. He is friendly but probably scared.

Edit: he has not been found. I’ve been contacted by three scammers. They’re fucking using the photos of him to feed into AI prompts to fool me into thinking they have him. It’s really scary.

When the rain stops at 5 we are putting up posters. I’m going to put his cat trees out front and out back. Tonight I’m going to take our other cat around the neighborhood in a stroller to see if his meows/scent will find Grr too. Thank you everyone so so much.

Edit 2: Still looking. I have his litter box, bed and food out front and one of my blankets out back. Posted on Facebook, Neighbors and Craigslist. I met quite a handful of you out walking around. It means everything to my sister and I.

Tomorrow I will be calling local vets and PAWS to give them a heads up. Will probably also make a new post in the morning here. I have walked 24k steps today. Thank you all so much again.
