Any future MI superstar hiding in this squad?

Any future MI superstar hiding in this squad?

Here’s how MI Cape Town are shaping up for the upcoming season. Do you think there’s an unknown/underrated player in this squad who could make his way into Mumbai’s 2027 squad, similar to how Ryan Rickelton did?

What changes should MI make for 2027 after this disastrous season?

This season exposed a lot of problems — squad balance, tactics, consistency, and team selection.

What changes do you think MI should make next season?

Who should stay, who should go, and what type of players are we missing most right now?

Interested to hear all takes — realistic or completely unhinged trade ideas included.

Hardik trade shitpost

Hypothetically, if we decide to trade Hardik and all 9 teams are interested…

Which player/player package are you asking in return — no matter how unrealistic or ridiculous it sounds?

Hardik out with back spasms and SKY unavailable due to personal reasons for the Raipur game vs RCB. In that scenario, I genuinely think the middle order should be:

3 - Naman

4 - Tilak

5 - Jacks

And please, no Robin Minz at 6 again. Bring in Rutherford instead. We need experience and finishing power if two senior batters are missing.

To free up the overseas slot, I’d honestly bench Boult for this game. Either hand a debut to Md. Izhar or bring back Ashwani.

Feels like the perfect game to back the younger Indian core instead of forcing the usual combination.

What do you guys think?

Can we talk about what Karn Sharma did for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2025?

First game, comes in as Impact Player vs Delhi Capitals when they’re cruising at 119/1… and flips the match with 3/36. Breaks the partnership and sends back Abhishek Porel, Tristan Stubbs, and KL Rahul.

Smart, clutch, zero panic. Even Hardik Pandya called it a turning point.

Fast forward to the absolute mess that’s been MI’s 2026 season… and it’s pretty obvious what we’re missing. No control in the middle overs, no one to break partnerships when it matters.

This is exactly the kind of impact player we let go — and it’s hurting now.
