Down 47% Reach after the "Bot Clean up" on IG. Client accounts are bleeding and Meta is absolutely clowning us right now. Anyone else?
What the absolute hell is going on with Advantage+ right now?
Ever since Meta supposedly started doing these massive bot removals on Instagram, my campaigns have completely fallen off a cliff. I’m comparing current data to April, and the numbers are a straight-up horror show:
- Reach: Down 47% 💀 (Literally cut in half)
- CPM: Down 25% (Cool, cheaper traffic, except...)
- CTR: Down 25% (...because the traffic is completely dead/uninterested)
- Revenue: Down 15% overall across accounts.
I have clients breathing down my neck daily demanding answers, and what am I supposed to tell them? "Sorry, Zuck decided to tweak the algorithm again so your business has to suffer"?
It feels like Meta is actively messing with us at this point. Advantage+ went from being a money printer to a complete black box that just burns cash on garbage placements. If they actually removed bots, shouldn't quality and CTR go up, not tank by a quarter? It feels like they just nuked legitimate user distribution instead.
I’m losing my mind trying to stabilize this. What are you guys doing to fix this right now?
What are the actual possibilities here to pivot? * Do I completely abandon Advantage+ and go back to manual, granular targeting?
- Are people seeing better luck duplicating campaigns to reset the learning phase, or shifting budget entirely to ASC+ with heavy creative diversification?
- Should I pull back on Instagram placements entirely?
Please tell me I’m not the only one dealing with this shit right now. Any advice or solidarity appreciated because I am running on zero sleep.
