What’s your worst financial decision ever?

Mine? Getting into crypto thinking I was investing in the Tech of the century. Turns out I was just donating my hard earned money. Any fellow crypto bros here? Say hi.

What parenting style do you follow and how is it going?

For those of you with kids, what parenting style do you follow? Gentle/Authoritative/Hands off/strict or something else? How is it going for you?

I am curious about the relationship that develops as the kids grow up. Do your children see you more as a friend they can talk to openly or primarily as a parent they respect and look up to? Or did you manage to achieve both?

What worked well? What do you struggle with? Is there anything you would do differently?

Did anyone else feel the melancholy in Norwegian wood never became anything deeper?

I just finished Norwegian wood. It definitely was engaging. I liked the writing, the atmosphere, the melancholy but didn’t find it deeply emotional. I kept waiting for the sadness to turn into some great insight or emotionally profound but it never quite happened. For reference, I loved Hosseini’s the kite runner and a thousand splendid suns and was expecting such depth I think.

For those who love Murakami, what drew you to his writing? Which of his books would you recommend for someone who didn’t connect much with Norwegian wood?

How many real friends do you have?

While WHO has recognised loneliness and social disconnection as global public health issue lately, I was wondering, how many of you actually have real friends you genuinely trust and can be vulnerable with?

If you don't have those meaningful connections, what do you do with your basic need for companionship, belonging and love? Do you actively seek it or do you eventually suppress that need and convince yourself you don't need anyone? And how is jt working out for you?

Also, when a friendship or relationship breaks down, how much do you reflect on the part you may have played in it, rather than only focusing on what the other person did? If you realise it’s your mistake, do you try to repair it or does ego come in between?

If you could change one thing about how you handled relationship in the past, what would be it?

What truth about life did you only understand through experience, not advice?

Hello Peeps. What truth about life did you only understand through experience, not advice?

For me, it was realising that not everyone’s path has to look the same. Success means different things to different people and comparing ourselves to others rarely brings anything but misery. I have also learnt being true to yourself is more important than staying on somebody else’s good books.

What’s yours?

If I looked inside your brain today, what would I find?

Hey there, folks! Random question: if your brain had tabs open like a browser right now, what would your top tabs be? They could be ideas, worries, projects, questions, dreams, random obsessions, whatever is taking up space in your mind these days.
