Why does Invading Mexico require me to have 500K in the bank?
Playing as the USA, and I have Texas allied and in my sphere. Started in 1830. Navy is mothballed, Army is just big enough to knock Mexico down. By 1850, Im concerned because nothing is firing and I have no decisions available.
So I go check the decisions tab, and the decision to go to war with Mexico for the Western states has all requirements met, except I dont have 500,000 pounds in the bank.
Whats the reasoning behind this? Ive noticed in my other runs the USA ai has a hard time fulfilling the requirements as well even with the ai economy buffs. They never go after Mexico and the Confederacy whoops the North consistently.
