We've not seen those types of numbers since Skills 2.0
I am talking about the heist's design. Instead of putting a hacking device on the truck to control it and bring it to a ramp to then breach it open, you start the heist with several transports already knocked over, and all you have to do is breach them in whatever ways you like and escape. It's kinda like a mix of the Transport heists and Green Bridge
This is so much better than what we have in PD3.
It's a more logical plan, it utilizes the heist's environment way better, and it just feels much more like a heist fantasy than whatever we have in the game currently. Since we know a Road Rage rework is coming, I would love it if we got something similar to this.
Expand on this plan, make us set up traps for the transports. Add RNG. For example, maybe the plan involves setting up explosives on the road, and one of the explosives is too powerful, blowing up the road underneath it and making one of the transports sink/leaving it hanging. Add different breaching methods; maybe one of the trucks falls next to a winch which we can use, we drill another one open, and use the classic hacking device akin to the one we see in Delivery Charge on another one. Maybe we can get more escapes, like aside from the usual heli escapes we use a zipline to rappel down the bridge and escape on a boat, or down towards Roosevelt island, where we have to fend off cops until Twitch arrives with the van.
There's so much more room for creativity with a plan like this. It could easily make one of the less popular PD3 heists an instant classic.
someone check up on their trailer guy 🥺
Does everything a trip laser does, but also:
- Can be put on NPCs, which is enormously helpful in stealth (I mean, you can put a trip laser on an NPC as well, but why would you?)
- Marks everyone in its general viscinity instead of only people who pass through it
Why is the Trip Laser still the most popular device in loud?
In my opinion, it was a bold choice but definitely a step in the right direction
To be clear I think BiB is one of the last heists in need of a rework, it's very well fleshed out, but I really just had this dream lol.
I think it stems from the fact that I've been yearning for a subway escape section in a heist, where we maybe blow a wall into the underground and escape through one of the stations. Hopefully we see something like that in one of the next heists, as using NYC as a location and not utilizing the famous subway system would be a waste!
