Offered here is an outstanding prewar baseball memorabilia lot centered on one of the greatest eras in New York Giants history. This grouping combines an authentic playing-days signature of Hall of Famer Bill Terry with two original Type I press photographs documenting the Giants during the early 1920s.
Included in this lot:
• Bill Terry Playing Days Signed Baseball
A desirable playing-days signature from Hall of Fame first baseman and future New York Giants manager Bill Terry. Clean vintage autograph on an appropriate period baseball. Comes with JSA cert.
• 1922 World Series Champion New York Giants Type I Photograph
Original Type I press photograph depicting the World Series champion New York Giants. A scarce period image from one of the franchise’s greatest championship seasons. Comes with PSA cert.
• 1924 World Tour New York Giants / Chicago White Sox Type I Photograph

The items will be carefully packed using archival-safe materials and shipped fully insured with tracking.
Please feel free to message me with any questions or requests for additional photographs. Thanks for looking!
Hey guys -- super excited to announce the publication of a huge fiction book. I usually write philosophy and science + poetry, history and baseball, but this is a huge pivot towards using my cosmological work to generate a fiction universe.
.
Fans of Dostoevsky, Faust, Camus, Ellison, and Nightmare Alley will love book one (Nine Devils) + Pynchon, Dante, and Ishmael Reed fans will laugh and laugh while also silently nodding at book two (America).
.
I'll leave the front and back matter of the book here so you can read more about it. This book is a massive sweep, covering from 1516 to a hypothetical 2045, centering fictional figures as well as real baseball historical figures and events such as Charley Faust, Satchel Paige, Tris Speaker, and others. It is meant to be a massive 'divine comedy' centered around American history, early 20th century baseball, and the existential experience of the long, 250 year+ American revolution of consciousness -- from Mephistophelian appearances in Southern barnstorming to corporations that manufacture jet fuel and breakfast cereal.
.
Absurd moments include: a dogfighter who rapidly ascends the ranks in a corporation attempting to create a quantum world where desire and possession become truly immediate; a modern shaman whose favorite thing to do is watch a young Satchel Paige pitch for the Mobile Tigers; the dreams of America coming, improbably, from a dying Mongolian emperor.
.
GPTWork says:
"Its closest compressed description would be: Dante’s moral journey rebuilt by Rabelais, Swift, Gaddis and Pynchon as an American corporate carnival.
.
If I had to place the two books beside one historical author, I would choose two works by Melville:
.
If you're interested in a copy, I'd love to get you one. The book clocks in at 517 pages; I'm asking $35 shipped for first editions! If you buy one, I genuinely hope you enjoy and would love to hear your thoughts.
.
Cheers; sincerely!

Gotta get this one sold! Dropped the price to 1.5k on it. Awesome price for this piece. Photo stamped the week of the world series itself by the NEA press archival team. vintage original photo. Depicted -- Babe Ruth crossing home plate for one of the greatest teams of all time, murderers row yanks. 1.5k shipped, paypal g+s is fine, or f+f if we've done business before. thanks a ton; have a good weekend yall!

Had to deliberate a lot on selling this. Here is a photo which shows Ruth crossing home plate during the championship onslaught that would cement the 1927 Murderer's Row Yankees as one of the greatest, most dominant offensive teams of all time. As you can see by the back of the photo, this was stamped by the NEA press reference deparment on Oct. 10, 1927, marking it for archival use immediately after series play ended. This is a true period authentic piece; a great image showing the greatest player of all time on the greatest stage; playing for perhaps the greatest team baseball has ever known -- doing what he did best, crossing home plate!
Asking 2.75k shipped for this; willing to discuss a final price with a serious buyer. Thanks for looking; I hope you're having a great weekend!
Sincerely,
David
Killer combo here. playing days signed bill terry baseball (JSA cert) -- the same model ball he would have used playing for the standard oil company team he founded before mcgraw signed him!! + this phenomenal 1922 New York Giants championship photo -- hand labeled and inscribed by the press agency which captured and used it for publication. this one is also PSA certified type 1!!!
.
Asking $750 shipped for both. G+S is best if its our first time, F+F is fine if we've done business before!
.
cheers; my best regards,
David
Here we have a bob feller signed photo; a 1910s russ ford paul thompson type 1 photo, a nap lajoie red devil tobacco display board ad (its a thick board, not sure of the exact date, but you can see the wear on it!), and a playing days bill terry signed baseball, on a city league ball -- a ball he most certainly would have used when he started the standard oil company baseball team before mcgraw signed him.
asking $655 shipped for the lot! some cool stuff here... i hope you enjoy! i should be able to get this out mid/end of week, when i'm going to the post office to drop something off for one of our fellow members!
sincerely; kindly,
david
I think the right person will really love this! Some combination of a New York baseball fan with philosophy and literature. Here I have 6 NYG WS champion ballpoint pen Bowman 55 raw autos; a early 1910s Paul Thompson Type 1 photo of Dodgers legend and 1913 MVP first baseman Jake Daubert + a signed limited first printing of my pamphlet on Hack Wilson and the power of baseball to help us envision and understand the capacities and potentials of being human, even in the face of adversity from a series of lectures I delivered last year about baseball and existence. Asking $255 shipped for the lot; will make sure to personally address the signed pamphlet copy to whoever purchases!
Hoping everyone is having a great weekend; that this finds the right person!!
