If you were looking to buy a blue chip player/card, which card would you buy?
If you had $200 and wanted to buy a (non-active, of course) good player, which card would you buy?
Favorite vintage card purchase youve ever made?
Bought this one a couple years ago and only recently got it graded to get it ready to sell to pay for school unfortunately (Wont post that here since its against the rules but im sure you can find it if you look hard enough lol). It’s a really beautiful card.

Anyone know anything about this Ruth card
This was with things my father left when he passed. He collected baseball cards all his life.
A bunch of great cards that are easily identified but this has me stumped.
I've included the regular baseball card for size reference.
1965 BANCROFT TIDDLERS MICKEY MANTLE!!! MBA 8!!! Beautiful HC card! Very Rare...
1965 Hand Cut card of Mickey Mantle. This card was a part of a book series and if you cut one card out, the back of the card would be on the back of the page. This would result in having the back with a different player, Sir Stanley Matthews. I am asking $600, also taking offers.
Greatest First Baseman Ever?
On this date in 1939, Lou Gehrig delivered one of the greatest speeches in American history.
His “luckiest man” is one of the most powerful moments in baseball history, but Gehrig’s greatness went far beyond that day. Before his career was cut short, he had already built one of the most incredible résumés the game has ever seen.
I usually only collect signed Yankees cards, but I had to make an exception for Lou Gehrig. Very happy to have his Goudey in my PC.
When you consider the numbers, the championships, the durability, and the legacy, do you consider Lou Gehrig the greatest first baseman of all time?
Picked this up just because it was cheap.. one of those rookies that i didn't have but doesn't usually come to mind.
Happy 4th! Looking to identify an unknown player auto and also including a bonus vintage card of truth and justice
I recently got this signed ball off eBay. The description had a guess that the name is Charles Whiton and that he was a Negro League player but wasn’t certain. I’ve included closer looks at the auto and Charles or Charlie definitely seems correct for the first name. The last name could be Whiton but I could also see it being something else. Of note, the name has a date underneath it and another side includes a different inscription of “Kneitel ‘E .32’” which…I don’t even know. I know that, due to segregation and racism, there is no totally complete list of Negro League players, so this could be a player who isn’t known or, again, may not have been a player at all. Any ideas or thoughts?
And, as a bonus, I included my 1940 Gum Inc Superman #1. This was, I believe, the first fully illustrated gum card of Superman following his Action Comics debut.
Anybody know anything about this card
New to collecting. Is this a good card for a vintage collector?I can't find much on it.
