Has anyone noticed this with their PWD? My boy is now 4 months old and one of my friends pointed out his lashes and said she was jealous! Lol. I’ve never seen any as long as his on a dog. Maybe it’s just an individual trait? Or is this normal in the breed?
I’ve been waiting for a detachable case for my boox go color and I checked on Amazon a couple days ago and finally saw one! I ordered one immediately and it’s great. The magnet is sturdy and I can even use it as a stand. I love that the case is clear so you can still customize it. Anyway, I ordered another one but in black! Hopefully they come out with more colors, but I’m just happy I’ll have the option to take off the cover when reading and put it back on for more protection.
My puppy is 10 week old Portuguese Water dog, he’s not even here with me yet, he’s supposed to come home next week. He did get injured around two weeks ago and broke some of his toes. His breeder has been keeping an eye on him and has taken him to the vet today to get another x-ray. He doesn’t need a splint or surgery and this was the vet’s diagnosis:
DIAGNOSIS/PROCEDURE: Broken Toes
Rio's x-rays show that he has previously broken his 3 inner metacarpal bones (toe bones) on his right front limb. On x-ray, all 3 fractures have healing calluses. On palpation, no soft tissue swelling and a mild discomfort response. We recommend 3-4 more weeks of cage rest (no running or jumping) in order for the fracture to finish healing.
I have been so worried and would like some peace of mind. Will my puppy develop normally into adulthood without any impairments? Is this something that typically happens to puppies all the time? (I know I will have to be strict with his care, but assuming that there’s no re-injury in the next 3-4 weeks) Currently, he is using his foot and bearing some weight on it.
And how would best suggest I treat him at home? Especially longer periods of a few hours unsupervised? Would you keep him in a crate or a small playpen?
