I watched Backrooms for the first time last night. This was my first experience of the whole Backrooms ‘universe’ - I’ve not watched any of the YouTube videos, though I plan to. I really enjoyed the film.

While watching it, the atmosphere reminded me a lot of the late 70s British sci-fi/horror series Sapphire and Steel. It has a similar feeling of reality being somewhat ‘off’.

I wondered if anyone else familiar with both thinks the same?

I’m assuming some of us here work in healthcare. I’m an RN and recently have had a couple of patients ask if we (myself and whichever other nurse or tech was with me) were ‘believers’ or similar. Have others experienced this? If so how do you react?

It does make me feel uncomfortable, but at the same time these are often very sick people, and part of my job is to comfort them. As long as they’re not too specific with the question I can ‘technically’ say yes (I’m a pagan so I do have spiritual beliefs) but if they bring Jesus into it then it can get very complicated.

I’d be interested in hearing from others with similar experiences.
