Now that the dust is settling on the excellent Claypool Gold musical extravaganza, I would like to take the opportunity and evaluate the posters. Each city gets one, and some are better than others. Just a quick best/worst list.

Best

1. St. Louis--bugged out American Gothic! St. Lou has been getting some good posters in recent years. The wonkey catfish from '24 is a personal fave.

2. Peltham, TN--love the orange and light blue contrast.

3. North Charleston--Cage captures the essence of 'tool for hillbillies'. And a wonkey catfish always helps the cause.

4. Dillon, CO (first night I think)--A wonkey diamondback sturgeon!

5. Long Beach--the purple dragon is cool.

Honorable mention: Napa. I would love to have that on the wall.

Not Best

Phoenix-I just don't get it.

Portland, Maine--It just looks minor league.

Missoula, Montana--see minor league comment above.

Atlanta, GA--I can't figure out what I'm looking at. Its a no.

Reno, NV--The tour starts out with a clunker.

The wife and I attended the Irving, TX show, and I got one of the posters. I'd say it is a mid range poster for this tour. I like the orange accents.

Who's gonna be in Irving on Thursday night? The wife and I have VIP tickets, and can't wait. I haven't made up my mind what I am gonna ask Les and the boys. I might chill and just take it all in. For those of you that are familiar with that area, what are some good spots to grab grubbage and beer? I'm the big dude (6'4", 280) in the St. Louis Cardinals hat. Stop by and say hello. We'll trade Primus stories! I'll tell you the one where I rolled a joint in the Primus pit, in about 1996.

Would Fort Worth ever be in the conversation about getting an NHL franchise? Considered the 11th largest city in the USA, it is also growing rapidly with a population of over a million now. And they used to have the minor league Texans back in the day.

I have several honeycomb hybrids in the garden this year. They are beginning to set fruit, but they seem to be weak on the vine. I have noticed a number of green fruit on the ground. Has this been others' experience?
