Brake pad update

Got the EBC redstuff pads swapped in today.. so far feels great! Took the edge off of the grabby OEM pad feel. is more linear but still progressive / the harder I pushed , the harder they bite.. and any improvement in dusting for me is a win.

10/10 would recommend for a daily driver.

how can i deal with this?

I'm a DIYer.. Moved to a house built in the 40s that has a lot of galvanized pipes on the front irrigation that im trying to replace due to leaks..

I was planning to replace my irrigation valves and run new PVC to the various zones.. but as i kept digging I discovered the main feed is also galvanized converts to copper, and has an old ball valve with a missing handle. The galvanized is very rusted.. and i have no idea where it is routed from. So replacing that is well above my level. I’m a little nervous trying to mess with the galvanized since it’s so old im afraid it could crack.. I was thinking of just cutting after the shut off valve (leaving it open) and adding a new shut off and continue from there.

Not sure how I can deal with this.

How would you more experienced fellas handle this? Thanks!

I’d like to remove these filters and install a spin down filter -> carbon filter -> softener (salt based)

Any reason I can’t cut the copper at the red marks and use a sharkbite to pex or even the flexible corrugated hoses to connect in/out to the house?

I have never soldered copper before and could certainly learn how but sharkbite to pex seemed more straight forward.

Thanks in advance.
