Alocasia insects in water

Bought this Alocasia Regal Shield from Facebook marketplace and found these white creatures peacefully swimming in the water of the self-watering pot the plant is planted in.
I flushed them down the toilet and disinfected the container.
Should I be concerned about them getting into the soil. Does anyone know what type of insect it is? Thank you all
