If you are considering purchasing a silver rock warranty - please pay careful attention to what is NOT covered. I know that seems like common sense - but for example the “essential” warranty covers “transmission” - but not all the parts located inside the transmission, like the transmission control module in BMW’s which is the most common failure point I think. Expensive oversight on my part - 2nd major mechanical issue I’ve had in 6 months of ownership. At least the first one was covered (it happened just after my 100 days carvana warranty).

Bottom line - if you can afford it - purchase the plus warranty which is pricey - at that point might need to re-evaluate if buying a used car still makes sense.
