How many drafts do you actually have?

BRUHH i’m gonna cry, for real. i went to fix things and make life easier for myself and accidentally dug an endless void instead.

long-ahh story short, i got access to my old icloud account and decided to put all my story ideas in one place. so i logged into icloud, ms word, google docs, everything and combined all the story ideas i’ve cooked throughout my entire life (multiple genres). some only had the main concept, others had actual plot points written out and some even had chapters with whole storylines summarized into a few pages.

AND IT TURNS OUT I HAVE THIRTY-FREAKING-THREE BOOKS. THIRTY. THREE. i could write all of them, BUT HOW???!!

it does lowkey make sense. i got into writing (and coming up with stories) around 11 or 12 and it’s been like YEARS. a lot of it was super cringe, obviously, but a little editing and revision can turn trash into something not-trash.

like i tried writing a comedy (back in 2015-16 maybe) about how a girl goes to a new town and she gets mistaken as someone else who died (plot twist was that the girl wasn’t dead) and some guys decide to make her live as the dead girl to find out what happened to her. and i liked the idea so much that i could turn it into a thriller-romance now instead of cringe-comedy.

BUT THE QUESTION IS: HOW DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHICH BOOK TO WRITE FIRST?!! WHAT IF I DIE BEFORE I CAN WRITE EVERYTHING DOWN???

and the problem with an overactive imagination (thank you dysfunctional childhood) is that NEW story ideas keep invading my brain and i CANNOT ignore them!!! i feel so devastatingly overwhelmed. i cannot keep all these ideas to myself (no matter how unhinged and wild some of them are). UGHH WHY IS LIFE SOOOO CRUEEEL? howls into the full moon

tldr: how many drafts do you guys actually have? like story ideas or plots you guys haven’t written yet? how do you deal with incomplete books?

Social feed a.k.a convenient stalking

Bruh.

Kinda late, I know, since the social feed was added a while back. But I had to update my app (unfortunately) and what do you mean if you follow someone, all their activity shows up on YOUR social feed? 😭

That makes no sense.

I mean, it would’ve been better if you two were mutuals, as in, if you follow someone and that someone follows you back, and so, you get to see their activity (voting or commenting) on your social feed.

But being able to see someone’s activity solely because you followed them is diabolical. How did no one complain to wattpad (not that they listen lmao). But still. Damn.

I get to stalk anyone I want? Like top writers and allat? For free? Do not sign me up pls

Heart is broken 😞

I hadn’t updated the app for AGES and now they’re forcing me to do so. Where’s my free will? 😔

Wattpad malfunction?

Guys, is anyone else posting new chapters and readers aren’t getting notifications?

I just updated my book and a reader of mine told me they never got a notification for the chapter (and neither did I since I usually get a notification for the update too).

Rate the story idea

It’s kinda psychological with elements of patriarchy and classism. Would something like this interest you:

I couldn't stop the shaking in my hands or the way my lungs burned as I stared at the body on the floor.

Kal stepped out of the shadows, the moonlight catching the cruel edge of his smile. He looked like a man of ruin. His gun was still warm, the smoke curling around his fingers.

He didn't offer a hand to help me up. He didn't ask if I was okay. Hell, he probably didn't even care that I was alive.

"Keep this in mind, Darcie." His voice was a melodic rasp as he leaned down to meet my terrified eyes. "In this world, there is no such thing as a victim, only those who hunt and those who are hunted. Which one are you?"

Darcie Linton is a survivor of a different kind of war. With a dying mother to protect and a father in the ground, she's spent her life playing by the rules to survive.

But the rules don't apply to the underworld. When her brother vanishes after stealing from the wrong people, Darcie finds a dangerous target on her back.

Kallahan Montrose is brilliant, wealthy, powerful and utterly devoid of mercy. He doesn't believe in innocent bystanders. To him, Darcie is a leverage. She’s a piece of collateral to be used until she is no longer useful.

The game is simple: Help him find the person who stole from him and her family stays alive.

As Kallahan drags Darcie into his world of manipulation and blood, she has to make a choice between being hunted or being the one to hunt.

But the ultimate question is, can the prey turn into the predator?
