I’ve been testing which monitor to keep for the last few days. The comparison I’m doing side by side is between the TCL C2A Pro and the ASUS XG27UQDMS.

I’m honestly torn since I want the peace of mind of a mini-LED since I generally do a lot of productivity work during my working hours (WFH), where I use CAD software for 9–10 hours a day, so it was the obvious choice for mixed use to get a mini-LED. I said to myself, I can live with a couple of raised blacks. But when comparing the two, I feel like it’s more than just the perfect blacks.

Looking at the ASUS and the fact that I can get it for roughly $100 more than the TCL is making me second-guess my decision.

Am I asking too much from a mini-LED when it clearly has its limitations?

Has anyone made the switch from a high-end OLED to a mini-LED and lived with the “weaker” image? (Take this with a grain of salt; it might not be a worse image to the trained eye. It’s just my opinion; it looks less sharp even though they are both 4K.)

Anybody experienced this issue before with their s90c? It happens randomly honestly . I can game without this issue popping up for days and one day I’ll turn on the tv and start playing and this starts happening.

My temporary solution is literally disconnecting the tv and waiting. And sometimes that doesn’t solve it, I’ll have to disconnect it multiple times until it stops.

I game on pc, 5090, through a quality HDMI cable too, I’ve changed them to two different brands and the program still persists . I factory reset the tv when this issue started and left it disconnected from the internet so I believe it has the original firmware, so I doubt it’s that but who knows.
