Communities who sew?

I have a vast quantity of wool and cashmere sweaters (hundreds) which I bought at thrift stores then laundered, cut into pieces along the seam lines, and bagged up by color. My intention was to create upcycled, wool/cashmere patchwork quilts - which never happened. I probably have $1,000 worth of material that I would like to gift to a community of craftspeople, or to an individual who could make good use of a veritable flood of sweater pieces. Like 15, giant, spacesaver bags full.

I only have a short time window to manage this, because we move from Oakland to Brooklyn in 10 days.

The East Bay Re-use Center didn't seem interested, and Scrap in San Francisco has a hold on donations until next month. I called Hello Stitch, too, but they passed.

Any ideas?
