USA Rugby marketing and management opportunities just opened up.

https://usa.rugby/careers

As they stated in their release a few days ago, USA Rugby has opened several new marketing and management positions in order to expand their collegiate rugby foothold.

Seems like a great opportunity for people who are genuinely interested in helping the game grow at that level here with new money coming in to fix it.

2026 WER Legacy Cup: Schedule, How to Watch, and Results

The stage is set. After ten weeks of regular season action, the second season of Women’s Elite Rugby (WER) will culminate with the 2026 Legacy Cup Final on Saturday, August 8 at Infinity Park in Glendale, Colorado.

The defending champion Denver Onyx enter the final as the top seed once again, locking up the #1 spot in the standings with an 8–1 record. Their overwhelming depth, high-powered attack, and suffocating physical defense made them the league pace-setters for a second consecutive year.

Only one team figured out how to beat them all season.

The Bay Breakers delivered Denver’s solitary setback in Week 1 with a stunning 36–19 victory on opening weekend at Heart Health Park. That signature win laid the groundwork for a dominant campaign that saw the Breakers earn 37 standings points to hold off TC Gemini and lock up the second and final ticket to Glendale.

How They Got Here

Denver Onyx

  • Record: 8–1
  • Bonus Points: 7
  • Total Points: 39
  • Notable Wins: 63–14 over Boston, 54–29 & 59–26 over TC Gemini, 53–19 over New York
  • Only Loss: 36–19 to Bay Breakers

Denver’s dominance continues a proud championship tradition rooted in Glendale, Colorado. Many of the Onyx core previously starred for the Colorado Gray Wolves (and formerly the Glendale Raptors and Merlins), winning back-to-back Women’s Premier League (WPL) titles before stepping onto the professional stage. Combined, Glendale and Colorado programs have featured in eight national finals, and the Onyx will now look to secure their second straight Legacy Cup trophy on home soil at Infinity Park.

Bay Breakers

  • Record: 7–2
  • Bonus Points: 9
  • Total Points: 37
  • Notable Wins: 36–19 over Denver, 66–17 & 57–10 over Chicago, 57–19 over Boston
  • Losses: 42–10 to TC Gemini, 38–33 (OT) to Denver

The Breakers’ season was built on explosive, high-tempo width and a relentless attacking unit that generated 391 points on the year. Bay’s championship pedigree is tied directly to Northern California rugby royalty: the historic Berkeley All Blues. As three-time WPL Champions (2011, 2012, 2022) and founding pioneers of elite women’s 15s in the U.S., the All Blues foundation shines through this Breakers squad.

After missing out on the inaugural final by just a single point in the standings last year, Bay surged into the 2026 title match on the back of dynamic playmaking and the return of key international talent down the stretch. The Breakers know they have the blueprint to beat Denver, setting up a heavyweight battle between two of the most storied rugby cultures in the nation.

USA Eagles Split the Series in South Africa While Double Overtimes Shake Up WER | Episode 254

Welcome to WRR 254 for July 6-12. In international 15s action, the USA Eagles bounced back to level their test series against South Africa, though the on-field triumph was vastly overshadowed by another broadcasting failure from World Rugby that left the match dark while 12 separate men’s fixtures streamed with no known issues. Over in the 7s arena, PRISM FUKUOKA won the Taiyo Seimei Women’s Series second stop. Off the field, global structural changes are accelerating as Spain unveiled a progressive multi-year roadmap, Australia pledged a multi-million dollar sports package to Fiji, and the rugby community united to defend Olympic star Ilona Maher from vile internet commentary. Finally, domestic leagues are heating up as both the Super W’s competition and Super Aupiki rapidly edge closer to the end of their competitive regular seasons, while the Denver Onyx climbed to the summit of the table following consecutive days of extra-time drama, and an independent review was formally launched to investigate a toxic culture at Coventry Welsh.

USA Women’s Eagles in South Africa, Take 2

The match will be viewable on SuperSport locally, Paramount+ for US fans, and RugbyPass TV globally for those not geoblocked. We confirmed with USA Rugby about the Paramount+ stream, and sources close to USAR confirmed that those frustrating broadcast issues last week were on the production side via World Rugby.

If you missed last week's action or want a refresher, you can watch the full replay on RugbyPass TV or catch it on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hTiHustrvZk

We have lots of lineup changes for the Eagles this week. We will see if they can get it going right from the jump in the first half because they were definitely caught napping last match. The Springboks are a seriously rising side and cannot be taken lightly!
