Public Database: Tracking Women’s Rugby Attendance Records from 1991 to 2026+

Wanted to share a new resource we are hosting on YSCRugby.com. Huge credit goes to Daniel Bamber (@hitchikerspie), Stu Farmer (@stu-farmer), and @/womensrugbydata for curating the raw records.

Over 100 historical and modern test matches have been catalogued including: mapping stadium capacities, turnout percentages, and competition trends.

A few quick stats:

  • 1991 RWC Final: 3,000 fans (24% capacity)
  • 2014 RWC Final: 20,000 fans (100% capacity)
  • 2025 RWC Final: 81,885 fans (99.8% capacity)
  • 2026 W6N (Eng vs Ire): 77,120 fans (94% capacity)

Denver Onyx Repeat as WER Champions, Nagato wins Taiyo Seimei 7s & Scion Claims Club 7s | WRR 258

Welcome to WRR 258 for August 3-9. The Denver Onyx made history by claiming back-to-back Women's Elite Rugby titles. Over in domestic sevens, Scion captured their fifth USA Club 7s National Championship, while Japan's Nagato Blue Angels secured their fourth consecutive Taiyo Life 7s Series crown. Are These Cleats Illegal?

I recently bought these cleats for rugby since my old ones got damaged and I was just wondering if they were illegal since my old cleats were very similar (same brand too) and I had a games where a reff gaves my shoes a double check before clearing me. I plan to play rugby for my university which is in Canada/ connected to rugby Canada and I was wondering if there were any rules or regulations that make these cleats Illegal. If they are illegal could anyone give me any suggestions for cleats with good ankle support.
