if I’m only going to visit only one interior out of all the many buildings in Budapest, what should it be and why?

I am a tourist and I plan to take the train from Hamburg to Prague. The train will depart from Hamburg at night and will arrive at Prague in the morning.

I want to stay near the main train station. The question is, should I stay the night in Prague or take the train back to Hamburg at dawn? (i.e. the train will depart at 00:00 from Prague). Is 12 hours enough to see all that Prague has to offer? I have to get to work on Monday so there’s that.

And if you say I stay for the night, do you have any recommendations where to sleep? I want somewhere near the main train station.

Do you have recommendations where to eat, what to do in 12 hours?

P.S. I’m on a budget.

I am a tourist and I will be planning to visit Cologne Cathedral during the weekend. I will be starting from Hamburg. Is it possible to ride only trains that are included in the D-ticket from Hamburg HBF to Cologne HBF and vice-versa?

edit: is it better to book the tickets to visit the cathedral online or buy in person?
