BIP Max Arrived

Some quick first thoughts.

Only had this thing for like 15 minutes but there's a lot packed in here.

Size: Picture makes it look huge but it's just the angle. On the wrist it wears sleeker than you'd think. Because of the sensor bump out at the back of the watch it sits a smidge higher than I'd like, but it's more wearable than I thought. In fact, if the screen were any smaller I think it would be harder to read. The screen size is a great feature here, especially when I'm not simply looking at it to tell the time, I'm reading several pieces of health data.

Big firmware update as soon as I turned it on. Most stuff works fine but a couple settings are acting up and the maps have some bugs. Not terrible though, just needs another patch or two.

Comfort is gonna take some getting used to. I normally wear steel sports watches and the sensor on this sticks out pretty far. Can feel it pressing into my wrist. Maybe it'll break in or I'll just get used to it.

OS is snappy though. Very little lag clicking through menus. I haven't worn a smart watch since an early Apple Watch. When I turn the watch face up towards me to look at the time, it feels like the delay is a few ms too long. But again, I don't have smart watch experience outside of like Apple Watch circa 2016.

Great watch face options. Thought they'd be more limited out of the box and you'd have to download custom open source ones through creators here. But, the number of cool face design options was impressive and many look useful.

Feature rich watch overall. Remarkable for what's packed into this at $99. Beautiful Amoled screen.

Included wristband is really comfortable. Feels like good quality material.

Screen gets smudged easily, but I figure that's any watch with a touchscreen.

Still messing around with it so I'll update once I've worn it for a few days.
