For those that have “good” romantic partners, are you conventionally attractive?

This is probably a little bit of a controversial question, but every time I see someone comment in this group that they have a good partner that loves, respects them, and treats them well, I snoop a bit on their page and they are usually people with a traditional and socially desired type of beauty, which I wonder is a piece of them finding such good partner to begin with.

this doesn’t come from a place of jealousy, but out of curiosity as someone who does not and will never fit that mold (i’m a POC, pretty enough but not overly desirable by American/Western standards) i genuinely am curious.

Has anyone ever chosen a long term Friends w/Benefits over a relationship/partnership?

I am a woman that’s been in three long term relationships (one being marriage) and I’m kind of at the point I think they may not be for me?

I love the ”escapism“, friendship, and physically intimacy aspects of a relationship, but not necessarily all the compromise and ultimate babyfication of men that often happens when they think they’ve finally locked you down.

So I’m just curious if anyone’s opted out of it all together and had more long term friends with benefits type situation? Hows that worked out for you?

Any best practice advice you can give to a new manager?

Any tips on how to stay above water as a new manager? Soon I’ll be starting a new firm as a tax manager. I’m going from being a heavy senior with an acting manager role on most engagements and I also have 9+ years of experience, so I’m not completely green.

I’m just trying to start this role off on the right foot - like not getting too bogged down in the details, delegating effectively, setting up high performing teams, etc. so would love any tips and tricks anyone has to share? This is public accounting btw.
