Best Veg / Vegan Banh Mi

I'm on the hunt for the best Vegetarian / Vegan Banh Mi. I love Banh Mi, but I am trying to eat less meat. I feel like a lot of times Vietnamese restaurants are phoning it in with the Tofu Banh Mi, just kinda putting plain tofu on the sandwich and hoping it satisfies that small portion of their market.

I will eat any veg / vegan Banh Mi in the area you recommend and let you know what I think.

I'm on the hunt for the best!

P.s. originally from LA and if you ever find yourself there the Tofu / Mushroom banh mi from Nong La is the best veg banh mi I’ve had to date…

EDIT:

Here’s the list so far. Will add more as they come. And will try and rate them (no hard feelings!)

Tanglad
Bun Mee
Saigon Sandwich
Dinosaurs
Mr. Banh Mi
Loving Hut
Vegan Vistro Donuts & Cafe (San Jose)
Banh Mi Crunch
Cafe Bun Mi (Buddha Tofu)
Wooly Pig
Vegan Donut & Gelato on E. 18th St.
The Phosho Dough
Dragon Eats
Aina's Vegan Vanh Mi (San Jose)
Bun Mee

The Great Party Switch

I've been thinking recently about the Great Party Switch, or the process by which the once more conservative ideology of the Democratic Party became more in line with the ideology of the Republican Party. And how that happened slowly over decades and decades, to the point that they in large part flipped core ideologies. Someone who is a Republican in 2026 would have been much more aligned with what the Democratic Party was saying 80+ years ago than they would the Republican.

I wonder if that is an inevitable cycle? Is it random? Will it switch again, do these things just go in cycles?
