Trying to figure out if I should buy a parking pass or a shuttle pass! My priority is not wanting to sit in traffic if there’s a faster way/dedicated road for only shuttles. Or are shuttles+cars+ubers all going to be on the same road to get in/out?
UPDATE: He has been detained. I am wary of saying where but it turns out they have been transferring him to different locations every three or four hours. I feel so awful for him! It was confirmed this is not a criminal charge but I have not been able to get ahold of anyone to give me more info. Thank you everyone for your support so far, this is very scary and eye opening for such a small offense. If there are any reputable lawyers you recommend, please send them my way!
ETA: Is it common to be able to get bailed out of a detainment facility for a civil offense? Found out he is being held there. Need a blood relative to go and find out what charges, but ideally he can get bailed out first as I know conditions are terrible.
Hi everyone, I've already contacted the US embassy about this but they said they need two days to confirm. I am panicking and just looking for ideas or peace of mind. My husband was transiting through the Abu Dhabi airport. The last time I heard from him was when he told me his first flight landed. Never heard from him again, I called the airline and they confirmed he was a no show for that second flight home, and that he didn't have any security or medical related notes and no other flight home on his file.
Having his phone off or not keeping me posted on his travels is something COMPLETELY out of character. So I am wondering if he was detained somewhere or in a hospital. How can I check if I'm not in the UAE? I don't have any contacts in the UAE.
