I'm pretty happy with the first attempt

Tight grain Damascus santoku.

384 layer alternating 1084/15n20

176mm blade length

61mm blade height

Weighs 144g total

Handle is African blackwood, Mexican royal ebony, kirinite and G10.

Few times have I been tempted to keep one more than this sultry little thing....

Here's the post etch/handling of that blade I posted last week.

1095 core wrapped in nickel and mild steel, brute de forge. Nice and thin.
