Here’s a photo many might not have seen before. This is of the former Blue Springs, a mid-20th century gravel pit that was rehabilitated as a popular but short-lived 1950s-1960s era beach. This is approximately where Quarry Park Drive exists today.
The City of Kitchener has been awarded gold status by the Bicycle Friendly Communities (BFC) Program, administered by the Share the Road Cycling Coalition. This designation recognizes Kitchener’s significant progress in advancing safe, connected and equitable cycling infrastructure.
Wanted to share a reminder that Jane’s Walk is happening across Waterloo Region this weekend.
