Ideas for getting stuck hood open

Last time I tried to get my stuck hood open I accidentally broke off this little piece so I’ve just been letting the car sit now I’m trying to get it running again and I’m not sure how to open my hood without pulling this thing any suggestions?

Basically just the title in was trying to open the hood on my 740il but the cable had popped off so I tried to get in there with a pick and couldn’t find the lever so I had a friend try and he broke the lever off so what should I do to get my hood open now?
