Quilter's estate in NWLA: looking for immediate short term help.

Edit: thank you all for the kind suggestions so far, I do want to reiterate my purpose in posting here. I am looking for a person who will know what they are looking at and holding quickly and confidently. I've learned a good deal in the last couple of days, but nowhere near enough to make this sale as successful as it can possibly be.

P.S. Short of finding someone who can be present to help, I think one thing that could help is a short list of noteworthy names and fabric makers to look out for. I have bags and bags (and bags) of kits and patterns going back 30 years and as recent as last year. I have a few names written down, I can't recall them all, I know there's a Kaffe and an Annie, and... Maybe a Marie? I can't keep them all straight! Any who. Thanks again!

Original post:

I just typed out a very long post before reddit ate it and I'm too tired to lay it all out again in detail. The important part is this: I have a sale scheduled for this weekend that is very quilting heavy. It is a small cottage that is a part of a larger property and it is full to bursting with fabric, notions, and everything in between. I have looked for someone local who can help and came up empty. I do have a woman who has been in the home decorator textile world for decades helping, but she is not well versed in quilting. I also have needlepoint, ribbon, basket weaving, embroidery, etc. Etc.

I have been up to my ears in the stuff for days and I seem to be making very little progress. There is SO. MUCH!

So I'm here making a hail Mary, hoping someone in or near Shreveport, LA is willing and able to help me this week. I have 4 days remaining and having another person in there who actually knows about quilting would make all the difference in the world!

I realize it's unlikely, but I figure it's worth a shot! This would, of course, be a paid position and just for the week. Please reach out to me if you are my unicorn.

Mods, please delete and accept my apologies if not allowed. Happy quilting.

Need help choosing, no local Miele or Sebo dealers, looking for maneuverability and on board accessories

Hi all. I am suffering from analysis paralysis. I had hoped to go see some Mieles and Sebos in person to make the decision easier, but I can't find anywhere near me to do that.

Edit: budget is flexible. Up to a grand or so if I have to.

I own an estate sale company, so I have a very mixed use case. I bought a Kenmore 600 about a year ago and I like it, but it is too heavy for my ladies to use easily. More like they avoid it completely.

I am hoping to find something easier to maneuver and I will bring the Kenmore home to live with me. Having had it for a year plus I have learned some things about what I really want in a work vacuum.

• as light as I can get before I'm asking for trouble on build quality/durability.

• above the floor cleaning options are almost more important than the floors themselves

• I appreciate quality, but it doesn't have to be buy it for life

• must be bagged, I don't trust my crew to maintain a bagless

• bonus points if it excels at bare floors

Whatcha got?
